In the modern world as we know frontend development is moving towards component based frameworks like React, Angular, Web Components, etc. to keep up with the fast paced feature development and startup culture. Frameworks like Storybook and Bit are widely used by development teams to share Live components among team members / public.
Design world in the recent years has been shifting to same approach with Component based design and Design Systems. While Figma is the industry standard for UX design with a great community and plugin system, other tools like Design System Manager by InVision, Supernova to better organize Design Systems also caught public attention.
Using Design System with component based designs and development keeps both design and development team in sync and increases productivity in long term. This modular and scalable approach is followed by many top startups, and very useful, specially for a big team.
